Kitten Proof your home checklist
The best way to acclimate you new sphynx to your home is to choose a small area like a bathroom where there is nowhere for the kitten to hide. Provide your kitten with food, water, and a litter box in this room. Allow your kitten to be in this room for at least a couple of hours upon arrival.
You can take the kitten out as often as you want, but we suggest to keep them on your lap, petting them to make them feel safe.
Ensure your kitten is eating, drinking, and using the litter box correctly. After this is accomplished you can slowly allow the kitten to explore the house. Repeatedly take the kitten back to the area with its litter box to make sure it knows its location.
Introduce other pets in the household gradually. Sphynx are typically extremely friendly and playful, so it shouldnt take long for them to become accustomed with interacting with other pets. However you must keep in mind that every cat is different. Some may take longer than others.

Your kitten has been litter box trained. However new kittens are often very excited about exploring their new home that they may forget the location of the box. To avoid accidents take your kitten to the box multiple times to ensure your kitten knows where it is.

There are a lot of great food options for Sphynx. I will be providing printed care information with each kittens adoption. There i will explain the food they are eating when adopted. If you wish to use a different food, you should gradually transition to a new food by mixing in a small amount of new food on day 1 and increasing the new food amount for 7 days to complete this transition.
It’s important to provide food your kitten is accustomed to, especially the first several days after arrival. If you don’t it can result in an upset stomach, diarrhea, weight loss, constipation, and can lead to a more serious problem.

These should be cleaned regularly. daily cleaning is better for their health. Always make sure they are easily accessible.

The more the better, for your kitten everything is a toy! Avoid playing with your hands and feet, use a toy instead to stimulate them in a positive way.

Positive reinforcement with treats is great. As long as given in moderation, your Sphynx should thrive with good treats since they love to eat due to their high metabolism.

Sphynx will always prefer to curl up and rest in a nice heated area. This helps them not get cold which is very important for the Sphynx breed.

These are not a requirement, but they are fun! Most Sphynx dont mind wearing them due to the added warmth. Choose a couple to always have a clean outfit and have a lot of fun taking pictures😊
